Welcome to About Cho Wealth
No matter your income or net worth, you deserve clear, honest financial guidance. At About Cho Wealth, my goal is simple: to help Korean American families become more informed, confident, and intentional with their money.
A Little Bit About Me…
I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ who immigrated from South Korea at 15 and learned firsthand how overwhelming the U.S. financial system can be when you’re navigating it alone. I studied finance at Emory University, have worked in the wealth management industry for five years, and speak both Korean and English fluently. I am also a husband and a proud father to a baby daughter.
Why This Blog?
I started this blog to offer the kind of guidance I wish I had when I was younger. As I have received so much valuable support during my time in the U.S., I would like to give back to the Korean American community by empowering them with financial knowledge and experience, sharing my insights on money management.
As a Korean who moved to Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 15 without my family, I experienced firsthand how difficult it is to navigate life in a new country. Fast forward 15+ years, I was able to navigate my life with the help of friends, family, mentors, teachers, and online communities, and graduated from a prestigious university with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Since then, I’ve been working as a financial advisor in Atlanta, Georgia, with my beautiful wife and daughter.

What You’ll Find Here
I believe in the importance of holistic financial planning. This means that reviewing and developing your financial plan is not just about whether you should invest in Nvidia, Bitcoin, or an AI-themed fund, but it’s about comprehensively viewing your plan from various angles (e.g., tax, retirement, insurance, estate planning, and investment). Don’t worry if you are confused. I hope the resources I share on my website clarify what I meant.
